A full-size Bugatti Chiron made of a million Lego pieces can even drive

The Lego Technic team has made a full-size replica of the Bugatti Chiron sports car from Lego parts, which is not really what sets it apart. And the fact that this supposedly "toy" car actually drives and performs other functions. Moreover, there is almost nothing inside it, except for the details of the Lego set.

Lego Technic engineers and designers have created a small miracle by creating a unique structure weighing 1.5 tons from typical parts of the constructor, which can accelerate to 20 km / h. This is nothing compared to the characteristics of the Bugatti Chiron, but you can not be afraid of an accident. The car is driven by 2304 motors and 4032 gears from toy sets, its power is 5.3 hp, and the torque is as much as 92 Nm.

It took about one million Lego pieces to build the Bugatti Chiron replica. If you do not know the secret, it is almost impossible to recognize the difference from a distance of 20 m, because the designers carefully copied all the details. Including leather seat upholstery and steering wheel cover. There is a working brake, front and rear lights, a speedometer and a retractable spoiler. It took 339 large Lego Technic sets, 58 unique custom parts, plus real Bugatti wheels. Everything is assembled without the use of glue, including the supporting structures, which are 99% made of designer parts.

It took 13, 000 hours of work to build the car. The Lego Technic Bugatti Chiron was first unveiled to the general public at the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Monza, Italy on August 30, 2018. The cost of the unique engineering miracle has not been reported.
