"Antirain" - special mixtures based on silicone, which are applied to glass, after which an effective water and dirt barrier is formed on the glass surface. The composition of the anti-rain may differ depending on the manufacturer, but each of the preparations contains water-repellent substances that effectively resist moisture and various kinds of pollution. Preparations of the "anti-rain" series come into contact with the glass surface at the molecular level, filling, among other things, microcracks and various damages formed during operation.
In order not to unnecessarily spend the anti-rain remedy, you can prepare it yourself at home.
How to do this write down the recipe:
Buy technical acetone, citric acid, distilled water at least 1 liter, liquid paraffin, you can buy it at a pharmacy, glycerin and paraffin candles. Take 2 paraffin candles per 1 liter of water, crumble them, you can pass through a meat grinder or grater. Put the paraffin crumbs in a saucepan, fill with vaseline oil, first add about 50 ml, leave in a warm, dark place for about an hour. Then add the remaining 50 ml of oil, pour in about 400-500 ml of water and put on low heat. Boil down the mass to a yellowish tint and add citric acid. Two or three sachets, no more. Pour in the rest of the water and keep on low heat for about 2 hours. At the end, the mass will begin to resemble a light yellow jelly. Then cool to room temperature, add about half a glass of acetone (about 150 ml). stir with a spoon, the mixture will cool. When the first yellow crystals appear, pour the entire jar of glycerin into the mixture without stopping to stir, and then leave it overnight in a dark, dry place. In the morning, the mixture will become clear and thicken strongly. Add the remaining acetone and stir until the solution is thick enough. Depending on the cleanliness of your store purchases, the mixture can have a grayish to dull yellow hue. But on the surface of the glass, this color is completely invisible, so feel free to apply in a thin layer. The mixture is much cheaper at cost. The quality of water repellency is comparable to technical Teflon. All operations are best carried out with rubber gloves and safety glasses are required!
