Swiss scientists call love "short circuit" in the brain

Scientists from the University of Zurich explained the process of love in their own way. They believe that falling in love takes 0.2 seconds. This time resembles a short circuit in the human brain. Depending on the temperament, love is different: measured and calm or crazy and passionate. The reasons people fall in love with each other are the same in all cases. It is based on the biochemical reactions of the human body.

When love happens, then at the same time twelve zones are activated in the brain, beginning to give commands to those zones that are responsible for the production of hormones. At this time, a real hormonal storm begins in the human body. The organs responsible for the production of adrenaline, norepinephrine, endorphins, cortisol literally go crazy, starting to work with redoubled and tripled strength. They break off the chains, hormones in lovers cause a euphoric state, an energetic surge and lead to the production of specific smells.

The Swiss say that a person loves not with his ears or eyes, but with his nose. It scans the genetic information contained in smells, and therefore the choice of a partner occurs at the level of smell.
