Interesting facts about the Oscars

What is the award for not just a good but a wonderful film? That's right, Oscar. We all know this. And what do we know about the prize itself?

A record eleven awards were won by only three films: "The Lord of the Ring: The Return of the King", "Ben-Hur" and the famous "Titanic". These films claimed fourteen nominations, of which they won eleven. So far, no one else has been able to achieve such results.

Two actors posthumously won an Oscar: Peter Finch for Best Male Role in Television in 1976. The widow received a statuette for the actor. Heath Ledger also received the award for his role as Joker in The Dark Knight in 2009. The Oscar was taken by my sister. Interestingly, both actors were originally from Australia.

Few know the actor John Casale, because he starred in only 5 films that were nominated and received the coveted award.

Upon receiving the award, the actors can only give a speech for forty-five seconds, because once Grieg Garson spoke for seven whole minutes, and Gwyneth Paltrow said "thank you" twenty-three times.
