Why boys are dressed in blue, and girls in pink?

The parents of the boy will never buy her pink clothes, and the parents of the girls will rather want to see their daughter in a pink dress, and not in blue. In fact, this trend is not so many years, and less than a century ago everything was the opposite.

The separation of small children on sexual signs appeared only in the 20th century - before that, both boys and girls walked more often in spacious white pants and shirts.

For the first time, clothes for the smallest in pink and blue colors were presented at the end of the 19th century. At first, no one thought to divide the colors on gender signs: it was assumed that pink clothes would be better to look at the carbohydrate kids with dark hair, and blue clothes on blue-eyed children with blond hair.

This is interesting: By the way, most families, dressing their boys in pink color, believed that it is more courageous than blue. The same opinion in the 1920s adhered to most designers in Europe and the United States.

But by the middle of the 20th century, most sewing factories began to choose a pink color for girls, and for boys - blue. Why changed the trend - it is not clear, but, apparently, the preference of children affected: the boys liked the blue color, and the girls were blue. In the following decades, various organizations (mainly female associations, fighting for gender equality) tried to defend freedom to self-determination of the color of clothing for a child, but, in fact, this question has been worried about. In addition, the separation of clothing for sexual sign liked both producers who are more convenient to build up the rods for boys and girls and for the parents themselves who could not think about what color clothes take their child.
