The largest radio telescope in the world will be built in China

In the summer of 2015, the construction of the largest and most sensitive radio telescope in the world with aperture of 500 meters began in China, which surpasses all currently existing telescopes. The construction is built in Guizhou Province, which is distinguished by its mountainous terrain.

The telescope of such sizes will be able to detect traces of the galaxies hidden on these data, open new pulsars and, maybe even detect traces of alien life.

At such a sensitive telescope should not influence the electromagnetic fields nearby electrical sources. That is why it is planned to be released around the telescope with a radius of 3 km, resetting about 9, 000 people.
